Good news on the foreign exchange front! Fresh numbers from the Central Bank of Sri Lanka show that the country's official reserve assets moved up to USD 7,086 million by the end of October 2026.
This marks a 3.2% increase compared to the previous month, when reserves stood at USD 6,867 million in September 2026.
Swap funds included
However, the Central Bank pointed out an important detail behind the latest total. The reported reserve assets include proceeds received through the swap arrangement with the People's Bank of China.
