In a proud achievement for cinema lovers, Tamil star Vijay Sethupathi is heading to the global stage. He has reportedly been named a presenter at the 54th International Emmy Awards, which will celebrate top international television from 2025. This makes him the very first Indian to present an award at the ceremony.
According to The Hollywood Reporter India, Kavita Gupta, a board member of the International Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (IATAS), played a key role in bringing him to this platform. She was also behind comedian Vir Das hosting the 52nd International Emmy Awards in 2024 as the first Indian to do so.

Vir Das has also entered the race once again, with his Netflix comedy special Vir Das: Fool Volume earning a nomination in the Best Comedy Series category.
