Good news for local cricket fans! Four Sri Lankan stars have found spots in the team rosters for the Afghanistan Premier League (APL) T20 competition. The picks see our players spread across different squads in various player categories.

Star spin specialist Wanindu Hasaranga was taken by Team Paktia under the top Platinum bracket. Meanwhile, pace bowler Dushmantha Chameera will turn out for Akcel United Kabul after securing a Diamond category spot.
All-rounder Kamindu Mendis has been signed by Nangarhar Cosmic in the Gold tier. Veteran wicketkeeper-batter Kusal Perera will also feature in the Gold tier, playing for Kandahar Warriors.

The competition features five franchises in total: Akcel United Kabul, Kandahar Warriors, Nangarhar Cosmic, Team Balkh, and Team Paktia.
