The tourism board of Finland, known as the world's happiest country, has launched a new campaign titled 'Finnish Dinner Date' for singles across the globe. Through this initiative, 16 selected participants will receive the opportunity to travel to Finland free of charge, covering all expenses including airfare, accommodation, meals, and various activities.
This unique tour is scheduled to take place from February 9 to 19, 2027, with dinner dates in the cities of Helsinki and Tampere being the main highlight. Foreign participants will be able to meet Finnish singles while savouring local delicacies such as fish, berries, and mushrooms prepared by top chefs.

Who can apply?
Singles aged 18 and above residing anywhere in the world outside Finland can apply on an individual basis. The programme has been inspired by the practice in local Finnish supermarkets where singles use pink shopping baskets called 'Sinkkukori' to indicate they are looking for romance.
How to apply
Applicants must prepare a short video in English answering what they bring to the dinner table and why. After posting the video on TikTok, Instagram, or YouTube, applicants can fill out the form on the official Visit Finland website and submit the link.
The deadline for submitting applications is November 10, 2026, at 11:59 AM Finnish time.
What happens next?
The names of the 16 lucky participants will be announced on December 1, 2026, via the official Visit Finland social media channels.
