Social media star turned boxer Jake Paul has announced that his upcoming bout could be his last. The American fighter says he will leave boxing behind if MMA standout Cedric Doumbe beats him in Dubai on December 24.

Paul suffered a broken jaw when he faced former heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua nearly a year ago. That defeat left him with two titanium plates and fewer teeth, but he is now preparing to step straight back into the ring.

Big risks on Christmas Eve

Paul acknowledged the danger in a social media video, calling Doumbe a serious threat who is not frightened of anyone. However, Paul noted that this is pure boxing, without kicks or takedowns to worry about.

The match will run over eight three-minute rounds at cruiserweight. It marks Paul's 15th professional fight since entering the ring professionally in 2020.

“If he wins, I will hang up the gloves and call it a day, but if he loses, the man who calls himself ‘The Best’ just got beat up by a YouTuber with a titanium jaw.”Jake Paul

Record and opponent history

The 29-year-old Paul holds 12 wins from 14 outings, suffering his only defeats against Tommy Fury and Joshua. His most recent victory arrived on points over Julio Cezar Chavez Junior in June 2025.

Doumbe, a 34-year-old Cameroonian-born Frenchman, is an MMA competitor and former kickboxing champion signed to the Professional Fighters League. He holds one pro boxing win from 2015 and has been inactive since May 2024.
