A tense situation has unfolded at sea. Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps reported on Thursday that two oil tankers alongside a tugboat caught fire in the Strait of Hormuz. According to the IRGC, the vessels were involved in separate incidents after trying to navigate unauthorised paths.
Mine Strike And Spread Of Flames
The IRGC said one of the tankers struck a mine while trying to navigate a passage to the south of the strait.
Meanwhile, another supertanker caught fire as it was leaving the route in the eastern section of the waterway. Trouble did not stop there, as a tugboat that moved in to help put out the blaze on the second vessel ended up catching fire as well.
