Commuters who rely on the LMT Go app have voiced their concerns over everyday hitches. Deputy Minister of Transport and Highways Prasanna Gunasena announced that steps are now being taken to sort out these shortcomings based on direct passenger feedback.

Special review meeting held

To tackle the problems, a special discussion was called on November 4 at the Ministry of Transport, Highways and Urban Development, chaired by Deputy Minister Gunasena.

The talks looked closely at the real difficulties experienced by regular Metro Bus users, alongside suggestions to upgrade the app's efficiency and reliability.

Upgrading digital transport

The review also factored in comments from Metro Bus operational crew members and technical service providers to pinpoint system weaknesses and roll out better solutions.

According to the Deputy Minister, boosting public transport goes beyond simply putting more buses on the road. It also means enhancing passenger services and providing a smoother, more dependable digital platform.
