Good news for daily train commuters. The Sri Lanka Railways Department has confirmed that train operations are back to their normal schedule.

The disruption happened after heavy showers lashed areas on the evening of 06, which caused a breakdown in the railway signalling system.

Repairs complete

Railway officials worked to solve the issue, and the department announced that the defect has now been fully rectified.

With the signal system back in working order, trains are now running without those disruptions, the department noted.
