Big news for pop music fans! Three sources have confirmed that Justin Timberlake will star in a brand-new four-part docuseries on Apple TV, scheduled for release in December. Insiders are calling the project a tell-all.
According to one source, the series features Janet Jackson discussing the infamous wardrobe malfunction from their performance at the 2004 Super Bowl. Another insider claims Timberlake also opens up about recent remarks from his ex-girlfriend Britney Spears.
The 2004 Super Bowl fallout
Back during the 2004 Super Bowl halftime performance, Timberlake tore off part of Jackson's top while singing Rock Your Body, exposing her breast to millions of viewers. Jackson later apologized, stating the costume reveal plan was arranged after final rehearsals without the knowledge of MTV, CBS, or the NFL.
Following more than half a million complaints, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) launched an inquiry. Jackson faced immense fallout, being pushed to withdraw from presenting at the 2004 Grammy Awards, while her songs and videos were blacklisted by MTV and CBS chief Les Moonves.
In 2021, Timberlake issued an apology admitting he benefited from a system that condones misogyny and racism. Later, in her Lifetime documentary Janet Jackson, Jackson confirmed they had forgiven each other and stayed good friends.

Britney Spears claims
The upcoming series is also expected to touch on Britney Spears, whom Timberlake dated from 1999 to 2002. In her 2023 memoir The Woman in Me, Spears confirmed rumors that he broke up with her through a two-word text message saying, It’s over.
Spears also wrote in her book that she had an abortion because Timberlake was not happy about the pregnancy, and alleged that he had cheated on her with a very popular woman.
