Special flight tests have commenced in preparation for the introduction of passenger drone technology to Sri Lanka. These test flights are reportedly being conducted within the Colombo Port City premises.

First two-seater aircraft arrives in Sri Lanka

Under this pilot project, the first aircraft capable of carrying two passengers has already been brought to the country. In addition to passenger transport, authorities are also exploring the use of this technology for tourism and cargo logistics.

What's next?

An official demonstration programme is scheduled to be held in Colombo on the 11th.
