Big political moves are happening across the ocean. The 39-year-old Democratic Senator Jon Ossoff has seen his 2028 presidential prospects jump sharply on prediction market Polymarket after securing a solid win in Georgia.

According to numbers reported by The Independent, his implied probability for securing the Democratic nomination went up by nine percentage points in just 24 hours to 24%. His chances of winning the overall presidential race rose to about 18%, putting him ahead of Democratic Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Republican Vice President JD Vance on the platform.

Decisive Win and Sharp Words

Ossoff retained his seat against Republican opponent Mike Collins by bringing in around 58.9% of the ballots and over 2.4 million votes. After securing the win, he gave a hard-hitting speech taking aim at President Donald Trump, calling him a failed president while accusing his administration of incompetence and corruption.

His campaign raised over $100 million, turning heads toward his national ambitions. First entering the Senate in 2021, Ossoff has drawn comparisons to former President Barack Obama because of his speech style, youthful age, and wide appeal inside the party.

Other Contenders in the Field

Other key Democrats like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and California Governor Gavin Newsom also remain in the mix for the 2028 run.

However, these numbers come from prediction-market trading rather than traditional polling, and they do not reflect an official nomination or a guaranteed election outcome.
